Premier Black Takes 2nd Place in ODSL Division 2

VYS Premier Black finished its regular ODSL season strong, with a 0-0 tie with the undefeated and first-place McLean team. Premier Black was the only team to hold them scoreless all season and nearly pulled out a victory with several close scoring opportunities. The tie brings PB to a 5-1-2 regular season record, taking second place in the
ODSL Division 2 standings, the strongest finish ever for Premier Black since the team was formed in the fall of 2006. Contratulations to Coaches Boyle and Cliff and all the players!

Tryout Info for VYS Premier Black Soccer

VYS Premier Black rising U12B team welcomes the opportunity to hold tryouts for interested players in preparation for the Fall ’08 ODSL season. We are looking for energetic and committed players born between 8/1/96 and 7/31/97 to join our talented and close-knit team. Premier Black plays in Division 2 of the ODSL and continues to show great improvement thanks to the dedication of coaches Joe Boyle and Richard Cliff. The team plays serious but fun soccer, and typically practices twice per week for about 1 1/2 hours. We emphasize team-play, endurance and love of the sport.
Formal tryouts will be held as follows:
- Tuesday (3 June) from 4-6pm - open tryouts
- Thursday (5 June) from 4-6pm - open tryouts
All three VYS rising U12B teams (Red, White & Black) will be holding tryouts together. Interested candidates should plan to attend both sessions.
Parents are requested to contact the coach to register their boy’s try-out attendance.
