Vienna Youth Soccer travel teams will start tryouts in May 2013.

Interested players should plan on attending the first two dates of tryouts. June 7th is by invitation only.

Please arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled start time so we can check you in and be ready to start promptly.  Also please remember to have your daughter/ son bring a ball, water, and wear shin guards.

Parents may remain at the field but please do not coach or talk to the players during the try out session.

We are looking for energetic and committed players with a positive attitude, who are interested in playing soccer at a "higher level". Players interested in participating are encouraged to attend all tryout sessions, wear soccer cleats and shin guards, and bring plenty of drinking water.

Online registration is free.  Information including phone numbers and email addresses will be collected from each player participating in the tryouts so that they may be notified of the results of the tryouts. Announcement of selections is expected to occur within one to two weeks after the tryouts. Families will be expected to respond to the placement offers promptly.

Rising U14 Girls Academy (current U13 players)

All girls interested in trying out for the rising U14G Patriots Academy are invited to attend training sessions during the month of May.  Girls are encouraged to attend multiple sessions in order for coaches to better assess the girl’s skills. 

Continued  tryouts in June will be by invitation.

The Patriots are trained and coached by Hank Leung. Coach Hank is a US Soccer "A" license coach, a 3 time National Coach of the Year, a former USWNT Coach and an NCAA Division 1 championship winning coach. Noted for his player development expertise, Leung has developed innumerable scholarship athletes, All-Americans and national team players. For more, go to our VYS Patriots Coaches page.

Rising U15 Boys (current U14 players)

Vienna Youth Soccer Rising U15 Boys travel teams (Eagles Red, Black, and White) will hold joint tryouts on the following dates:

Currently, two VYS teams are competing in the National Capital Soccer League (NCSL) and one team is competing in the Old Dominion Soccer League (ODSL).

We are looking for energetic and committed players with positive attitude, who are interested in playing soccer at a "higher level". Players interested in participating are encouraged to attend all the tryout sessions.

Rising U16 Girls (current U15 players)

Rising U16 Girls Strikers White will hold tryouts on the following dates:

Please come 20 minutes early to fill out paperwork and have your picture taken. All tryouts will start promptly.

Strikers White is a developing rising U16G team that is professionally coached & trained and plays in ODSL (Old Dominion Soccer League).

In the fall, the U16G Strikers White program plans to have practice sessions 2x/week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

We will most likely have summer practices, June/July is undecided, but we will definitely be practicing in August preparing for a preseason tournament in late August/Labor Day. 

Attendance at practice is highly encouraged, but the coaches understand that high school age players have numerous commitments.

Premier Black is seeking energetic and committed players with a positive attitude, who are interested in playing soccer at a "higher level".

Premier White is looking for experienced and highly skilled travel players who can compete with the best in NCSL Division 1.

Players interested in participating are encouraged to attend all the tryout sessions.

Announcement of the selections to the families are expected to occur within one to two weeks after the tryouts.

The two-time ODSL Champion U19G Falcons are having tryouts for next year! 

We are looking for High School aged girls who want the competitiveness of a travel team and the camaraderie of a multi-age team. The Falcons foster the physical, mental and emotional growth and development of each player in a multi-age setting. Our goal is to provide a positive experience for our varying age group. The older players model a high level of sportsmanship, skill and leadership for the incoming underclassmen.
