Six members of the VYS U9 White Spartans came in first place in their division of the DC United Soccerfest in Leesburg on Saturday, June 30, 2012.
They played 4 games in the high heat, competing in this 4 v 4 tournament. They finished with 3 wins and 1 tie, outscoring their opponents overall by 13-7.
All received medals and the boys had their picture taken with the DC United Mascot.

Along with the boys, the White Spartans coaches (accompanied by other VYS coaches) competed and won first place in the Men’s division of the same tournament. The coaches finished with a record of 3 wins and 1 loss.
