A Great Way to Earn Community Service Hours and Help Others

Need to earn some community service hours for school? TOPSoccer is looking for soccer players 12 years and older to volunteer as Buddies. In its 9th year at VYS, TOPSoccer has continued to serve as a strong and stable community program enabling all children with mental and/or physical disabilities to participate in a fun afternoon of soccer.

What do Buddies do?
Buddies are special volunteers who come out to the practices and work with the TOPSoccer players, cheering them on and helping them play.

Is training provided?
Yes, training is provided. No prior TOPSoccer experience is required and no registration required.

Who is sponsoring this program?
Nationally licensed coaches are also present to help facilitate and run practices and provide mentorship to buddies.

When are the sessions?
Every Saturday from 2:30 - 4:30pm at Freedom Hill ES. You don't have to go to every practice but we think once you start going, that you're going to love it and want to come every weekend!

For more information, check out our TOPSoccer page at: http://vys.org/house/topsoccer or contact Program Director Bob Zadeh, topsoccer@vys.org.

If you have a child with a disability who is interested in participating in TOPSoccer, please register him/her today or feel free to stop by a practice to speak with one of the coaches and have your child try it out at no cost.
