VYS Travel Team News
Congratulations to the following VYS teams!
 
 
U16B Premier White went undefeated to win the Silver flight of the Kirkwood Boys Premier Tournament in Newark, Delaware. Premier White dominiated in bracket play, scoring six goals to their opponents’ one, then survived the semi-finals with a dramatic overtime win over the Bricktown (NJ) Strikers. Premier White then faced their rival and NCSL Division 1 runner-up Olney Gunners, who had beaten them just four weeks earlier, for the tournament championship. In a close and physical battle, Vienna prevailed with a score of 2-1, giving them the championship for the second year in a row. Congratulations to Coach Krisztian and the players!
 
 
 
 
U11B Lightning Black team participated in the Kicks for Kids Tournament held in Hershey, PA over the past weekend (June 15-16). The tourney consisted of two games on Saturday where the team crushed their opponents. The following day, the team made it to the semi finals then exceled to the Finals. They took 2nd place after a nail biting game. Congrats to the amazing boys of U11 Lightning Black for the passion they bring to every game.
 
U12 Raptors Black also participated in this event and won their Finals for their division of 1-0.

THREE TIME CHAMPIONS -- The U19G Falcons have just won their third consecutive ODSL Championship season with an 8-0 record this season. Compiling a 22-1-3 record over the past 3 seasons, the Falcons have dominated the league. Anchored by one college student (Fatimah Darab), many seniors (Claudia Casteneda, Ginger Collier, Renee Dauerer, Leslie Fox, Emma Hayward, Abigail Head, Ayumi Matsuda, Katrina McLeod, Olivia Rauch, Gabriella Roldan, Zoe Schwandt, Margaret Secor, and Megan Thornberry) ; 2 Juniors (Rebecca Benson and Marly Saunders), 2 Sophomores (Shani Cave and Shealinn Metzger), 2 Freshman (Cate Stone and Neveen Shawish) and 1 8th grader (Celia Dauerer) the Falcons scored an impressive 35 goals while allowing only 11 goals this season.
