Fall Player Registration Update

Regular fall 2008 soccer registration is now closed, but the VYS registrar is accepting online and mail-in applications for House recreation players, which will be placed on a waiting list. The waitlist does not apply to players registering for travel teams or the Parent League.

Age Group Commissioners will make every effort to accept as many players as possible from the waiting list, but there are no guarantees, given team size and availability of coaches. Registration fees will be returned if you do not receive notification that your player has been accepted on a team.

Please contact your player’s Age Group Commissioner prior to registering to see whether their specific division is still accepting players (see “VYS Contacts” on website for email and phone information).

Note: First-time registrants (except travel players) must include a copy of the player’s birth certificate with their application for proof of age. Please mail forms, including registration fee, to: Vienna Youth Soccer, P.O. Box 993, Vienna, VA. 22183.

Note: Late registrations must also include a $25 late fee, or the application will be returned.

Foot Skills Workshop Being Offered

Travel Players

We like you to join us to explore the upcoming advanced foot skills training. Coming this fall VYS in cooperation with highly trained instructors from VYSA ODP/Academy is offering high quality foot skills workshop to Travel Team Players U11-U14 boys and girls. Emphasis will be placed on ball mastery and improving each player’s flair with the ball. There will be 8 training sessions, 8:30 AM-10:00 AM on Saturdays beginning September 13th, 2008. Field location is in Vienna area (TBD). The cost is $120/player. Limited space is available. RSVP is required. Coaching Courses Scheduled

VYS in partnership with Virginia Youth Soccer Association is committed to sponsor variety of courses and training for VYS coaches. Course listing include the F, E and D License. VYS strongly encourages all coaches that are coaching U-10 and below to take the F module, U-12 and above the E, and D. E License is required to obtain the D License. If you are volunteering for Vienna Youth Soccer and do not have a player in the club, please register here. This will ensure that you get e-mail notices sent out by the club.
