Girls Sessions will include instruction from coaches of the following colleges:

Bucknell University

Cornell University

Dartmouth College

Georgetown University

NC State University

Johns Hopkins University

University of South Alabama

MIT

TIME: 10:30-12:00pm, 2:30-4:00pm

COST: $375

About the Coaches

Attending the Girls Sessions

David Madsen, Bucknell University.   An experienced coach with a program that is climbing and experiencing success at the national level. Bucknell is known as one of the “Little Ivies”, is located in scenic central Pennsylvania and enjoys a fine academic reputation across a broad spectrum of majors.

Dwight Hornibrook, Cornell University. A successful college coach and a former Canadian National Team Staff Coach, Dwight brings an abundance of experience to a program on the rise. Cornell is a well-known, highly regarded, Ivy League, academic institution that has campuses around the world.

Nicole Ragano, Dartmouth College. An aspiring young collegiate coach who has already experienced developing a team good enough to earn a bid into the NCAA Tournament, Nicole joins the “Big Green” to do the same. Dartmouth College, one of the Ivys, is noted for its’ top tier academics.

Dave Nolan, Georgetown University.  A distinguished coach from a very well-known university with a great national reputation academically. A little-known fact, Georgetown University is considered “Southern Ivy”. The  soccer program has experienced unprecedented success since Dave took the helm.

Leo Weil, Johns Hopkins University.  Leo has built this program from scratch into a national power.  Academically, the university is in the Top 10 of most ranking services and within the Top 2 in the biomedical field.  It is a university known world-wide.

Martin Desmaris, MIT.  The soccer program has taken a quantum leap forward since Martin was named head coach in 2008.  Academically, MIT is ranked in the Top Five of most college ranking services and is known world-wide.

Glen Tourville, NC State University.  A renowned teacher of the game from a college that is no stranger to the metro DC area.  The soccer program experienced tremendous success last year and looks forward to building on that. Academically, the college is well respected nationally as evidenced by the high rankings it has garnered from the different college rating services. 

Richard Moodie, University of South Alabama.  USA is located in the southern “metropolis” of Mobile, AL, on the Gulf Coast.  The soccer program, like the university, is competitive and gaining in exposure and notoriety.  A former player of VYS Coach Hank Leung, who qualified for academic money as well as a soccer scholarship, graduated debt free, went on to medical school and is now an intern.
