If you are interested in Coaching with VYS, please view the corresponding information below. Availability of coaching staff is dependent on season and program. A professional Coaching license is a minimum requirement to coach at the club.

U4 Cubs


U4 Cubs is an 8 weeks program that takes place during Spring and Fall from 9am to 12pm on Saturdays. Use "PROGRAMS COACH" job posting under OPEN POSITIONS to apply for U4 Cubs, Development Center or Futsal coaching opportunities.

Development Center (U7-U8)


The Development Center is an 8 week program that  takes place during Spring and Fall from 5pm to 8pm on Fridays. Use "PROGRAMS COACH" job posting under OPEN POSITIONS to apply for U4 Cubs, Development Center or Futsal coaching opportunities.

Futsal (U8-U14)


VYS Futsal program  is an 8 week program that  takes place during Summer, Spring and Fall from 5pm to 9pm on Monday-Friday.  Use "PROGRAMS COACH" job posting under OPEN POSITIONS to apply for U4 Cubs, Development Center or Futsal coaching opportunities.

Camps (U5-U14)


VYS Camps take place during Spring Break, Summer and Out of School days during the Spring, Summer and Fall. VYS offer full day and half day camp coaching opportunities. Use "Camp Counselor" job posting under OPEN POSITIONS to apply for Camp Counselor opportunities.

Academy Staff


VYS Travel Academy teams play 10 months (August-May) with the main seasons in Fall and Spring. VYS Academy coaches time commitment typically consists of 3 trainings a week, 1-2 league games on the weekend, and tournament travel. Previous experience in soccer coaching required.

Get your Coaching Licenses


In US Licensed Grassroots courses, learn from our VYS Directors the fundamentals of coaching. In both an online and on-field course, you will get invaluable hands-on experience. (All Club Volunteer Coaches will receive a full credit reimbursement for licensing costs reflected in their next registration).


This introductory course will cover U.S. Soccer’s Grassroots Coaching Education Philosophy, Play-Practice-Play Methodology, the Six Tasks of a Coach, and the characteristics of players specific to your division.


Coaches will be tasked with reflecting on their experiences to develop action steps for personal growth in the Six Tasks (Coaching Games, Coaching Training Sessions, Leading the Team, Leading the Player, Managing the Performance Environment, and Leadership).​
