About VYS Competitive
Our Competitive U11 - U19 teams compete at the local level in the National Capital Soccer League (NCSL).
Coached by our professional and paid coaching staff, Competitive teams train 2 times a week, compete in 8-10 League games and will attend 2-3 tournaments throughout each season (Fall/Spring). Positions within the Competitive Program are year-long commitments for a 10 month season, August through May.

Tryouts
Travel Tryouts occur every spring and are open to all players. There is no cost to tryout, but players must register prior to attending.

Our Competitive teams play in the National Capital Soccer League (NCSL). Teams play 8-9 games each season (fall and spring) against clubs primarily from Northern Virginia, Washington DC, and Maryland.
Schedules vary, but a typical schedule will include half of the games at home locations and half at away locations.
Fees
The Initial Deposit is due when you accept a roster spot. Club Fees can be made upfront or in paid in installments.

Uniforms
Fall 2025 begins the Club’s 2-year Adidas uniform cycle. VYS players will be using the uniform kit through the end of the Spring 2027 season.
This uniform cycle marks a momentous occasion: Vienna Youth Soccer's 50th anniversary. Special uniform kits will be revealed before the 25/26 season begins.

Uniform kits are purchased from PJ's Soccer and Lacrosse by the parents/guardians of each player after receiving an invitation from VYS. Players must have the current uniform to be eligible to play.

Practices
VYS practice schedules are available approximately two weeks prior to the season. However, VYS will endeavor to provide the schedule to all age groups at the earliest possible convenience.
